The Buddy Program

Everyone gets a buddy when they join us. Ciber Buddies go through a formal training before they are assigned to you and are adept in enabling you get acquainted with day-to-day aspects of our work culture, resources, processes and help you settle into your role.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Since 2013, Ciber in India has been committed towards the cause of “Education to Employability” for the underprivileged communities in India. Our CSR focus has been built on two pillars: Providing ”Life Skills” and ”Enhancing Employability” – two areas where we believe we can contribute and make a tangible difference.

Life Skills:

Ciber has invested in a training on life skills as defined by World Health Organization. This included thinking skills (creative and critical), social skills (communication and interpersonal) and emotional skills that equip children to cope with stress and emotional trauma. Today, we have trained CSR volunteers who have undergone this training and have helped 20 children (age group of 13-15 years) from SOS Children’s village in developing skills to cope with their challenges.

Education to Employability:

A key challenge for educated youth from rural India is the employment process in the real world – where their lack of exposure in job search tools and interview process leads to a lack of progress for the communities they come from. Through the Ciber flagship program that has been running successfully since 2013, 150 such young adults have been enabled in their transition from education to employability – through a workshop helping them hone their skills in various aspects of the employment and interview process. Several students of this program now been successfully employed including at Ciber itself.

The journey has only just begun, and we are committed to equipping our communities with skills for a better life, both economically and emotionally.
