MACWIS operates in 84 local offices, 7 Regional Offices, and 1 state office and - on average – facilitates service provision for over 10,000 clients, 2,000 investigations, 1,000 foster homes, and 40 foster home studies per month.

CIBER Implements Effective Integrated Eligibility Solutions

State and local governments help individuals and families in need by providing cash assistance, medical assistance, supplemental nutrition benefits, and related support services including child care and transportation support. These services are funded and delivered via Federal-State partnerships, with each party contributing to the cost of the programs and service delivery.

Eligibility factors are considered when determining if a family or individual is eligible for a service, and these factors are federally mandated but locally administered. Each program (e.g. financial, nutrition, or medical assistance) has unique eligibility requirements. Automated eligibility systems contain the policy/rules that support the eligibility determination process. The systems also manage benefit calculation and distribution, and provide related support functions. Systems that perform this function are known as integrated eligibility systems.

CIBER provides a comprehensive set of services to government agencies to implement, improve, or replace their legacy eligibility systems:

  • Business Process Reengineering and Organizational Change Management
  • Requirements definition and validation
  • Project Planning and Management
  • Internal and External Design
  • System architecture definition
  • Software Quality Assurance Testing
  • Interface integration
  • Data conversion
  • Training
  • Implementation
  • Post-implementation support
  • Ongoing maintenance and operations
