COLLABORATE 2006 USER GROUP CONFERENCE, NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Apr. 24, 2006 – As a leading systems integrator with significant experience in the food and beverage industry, CIBER, Inc. (NYSE: CBR) has been working with Oracle to assist with the new release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, which was unveiled at the Collaborate 2006 User Group Conference, held Apr. 23 – 27, 2006, at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee. Exhibiting in booth #454, CIBER has provided food and beverage industry clients with customized ERP functionality for more than ten years. CIBER worked closely with Oracle to identify product requirements and functional specifications unique to food and beverage producers. The new release includes three new modules built specifically for the food and beverage industry: JD Edwards Blend Management, JD Edwards Grower Management, and JD Edwards Grower Pricing and Payments. CIBER has been delivering similar custom solutions built with the JD Edwards toolset for several years, and has assisted more than 100 food and beverage companies with their IT initiatives.
“We’re very excited about the new features in Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12 package,” said Mike Dillon, Senior Vice President of CIBER’s Oracle Practice. “CIBER has been working with businesses in the food and beverage industry for more than ten years, and we’ve written similar custom functionality for our customers during that time. Oracle’s new software will be the only top tier ERP package today with this type of functionality built into the base product. This will provide our customers with the best of both worlds—a top tier ERP solution with vertical specialization to meet their unique needs.”
CIBER is an authorized reseller of both JD Edwards software and IBM hardware, providing a complete solution—software, hardware, implementation services, and industry expertise—to food and beverage companies.
“A major focus of the development effort in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12 release was adding functionality specific to the food and beverage industry,” said Lenley Hensarling, Oracle Vice President and General Manager, EnterpriseOne. “To develop three new vertically focused modules – Grower Management, Blend Management, and Grower Pricing and Payments – we looked outside our development organization to some of our existing customers and to our partner, CIBER. CIBER brought extensive food and beverage industry expertise and provided additional business requirements that needed to be addressed based upon their experiences with their other customers.”
CIBER is a Certified Advantage Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, and is one of Oracle’s only partners to have had practices dedicated to Oracle, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards solutions for more than ten years each.
