Englewood, Colorado – June 2, 1999 – CIBER, Inc. ("CIBER") (NYSE: CBR) announced today that Paul E. Rudolph, who spearheaded the growth of EDS’ Electronic Business unit, is joining the company in the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Rudolph, with EDS since 1979 and President of its Electronic Business organization, led this unit to become the fastest growing sector in the company, nearly doubling its size since taking the helm in 1996.
His responsibilities included Card Processing Services, Consumer Network Services and Electronic Commerce Services – comprised of approximately 3,000 people, serving over 2,000 clients in more than 20 countries worldwide.
"Bringing Mr. Rudolph on board is a major coup for CIBER," stated Mac Slingerlend, CEO of the $800 million revenue systems integration and consulting firm. "As a recognized leader of E-Business, Paul is squarely on the bulls-eye of emerging leaders in the new ways business will be done in the coming decades," he added.
At CIBER, Mr. Rudolph, 41, will lead all operations, with the goal of accelerating the delivery of E-Business solutions into its custom and package software, system implementation and system integration, and management and strategic consulting services. "CIBER’s point of view is that E-Business is not a stand-alone capability; it’s an integral way to assist our clients in gaining value and market share. E-Business will be the center strategy of more and more of our services moving forward," said Mr. Slingerlend.
"CIBER is an emerging global leader in IT services. I am extremely excited to work alongside Mac and the rest of the CIBER team to help propel the company into the next generation with E-Business prominence," said Mr. Rudolph.
"With its total IT solutions business model, performance-oriented culture and growth track, CIBER has shown great vision in its business model expansion; its leadership wants to build upon its base and continue to help its customers and to build value. CIBER has the foundation that makes it among the most exciting places to be in this industry," he added.
