Associate Consultant

Under direct supervision, associate consultants get on-the-job experience in performing project work for our clients. As the engagement unfolds, skill gaps are measured, then mapped to available training. Assignments and course work are intended to help employees perform more effectively and with successful results, climb Ciber’s career ladder.

Consultant

Under general supervision, consultant level employees perform moderately complex project tasks. These individuals are competent to work on most project activities, solving minor challenges following previous examples, but still require occasional instruction and guidance or supervisory consultation for project escalations. Ciber offers consultant-level employees gradually increasing autonomy to strengthen their confidence in problem solving and skills required for their specific role. Consultant-level employees are encouraged tend to have 3-5 years’ experience and are encouraged to attend industry aligned certification prep courses from Ciber University to help them further their knowledge base and grow their careers.

Senior Consultant

Typically, Ciber’s senior consultants are certified individuals who have more than five years’ experience in their specific role. Senior consultants can direct and review the work of less experienced consultants and can create, devise, or modify procedures to solve complex challenges. To grow in their role, senior consultants can deepening their work experience through contributing to projects on broader programs, obtaining additional certifications, or choosing to align with a particular industry as a subject matter expert. Ciber University offers industry-specific and certification prep training to support these career decisions.

Principal Consultant

Ciber’s principal consultants understand our client’s needs in all areas impacted by the assigned engagement. Principal consultants can be responsible to instruct, direct, and check the work of other personnel as part of a project team or client engagement. They should be thought leaders and may write white papers or devise procedures to solve complex challenges. This may include performing risk assessments, assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, or developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
