“CDC Alerting Service provides an enterprise alerting service infrastructure that CDC Centers, Institutes, and Offices (CIOs) can securely integrate with their disparate technologies. CDCAS provides a truly reusable component framework that allows CDC to easily expand communication capabilities with little or no impact to the CIOs while reducing the cost of ownership for CDC and our Public Health Information Network (PHIN) partners. The CIBER team has expertly created CDCAS to meet both current and future needs with a highly flexible architecture and component model.”

Network and Security Operations Centers
CIBER offers a full menu of services, delivered through combined Network and Security Operations Centers, allowing you to select the services you need without overextending your budget.
Network Operations to Keep You Up and Running
CIBER’s array of network services protects your infrastructure from network events that could result in outages, lost productivity, and unrecoverable costs:
LAN Management – Your LAN is the building or campus infrastructure on which your day-to-day business is conducted. CIBER can manage your local area network, monitoring for capacity and problems, executing changes and patches, and responding to incidents.
WAN Management – CIBER manages and monitors distributed connections that make use of Frame Relay, Satellite, Internet, Private Line, and MPLS services. Accessing edge devices such as routers, smart DSUs/CSUs, and modems, our technicians can view operations and respond to issues as they occur. We monitor connectivity and equipment health, and watch for capacity and bandwidth issues.
Server Management – CIBER monitors the health of application servers by keeping an eye on CPU utilization, throughput, memory usage, and the like. We provide the recommendations that will prevent a server failure due to an overutilization of its resources.
Security Services to Protect your IT Assets
CIBER can help you maintain a viable defense against cyber attacks, managing and containing incidents that present significant threat potential.
Vulnerability Management – With more than 8,000 new vulnerabilities discovered each year, it is imperative to continually assess your vulnerability. CIBER’s periodic, remote scans provide vulnerability assessment, risk identification, and recommendations for patches and policy changes, all of which help you manage your risks.
Threat and Policy Management – CIBER monitors your networks for threats and attacks. Our security specialists detect and contain major incidents by halting the threat’s progress and minimizing its disruption. To make sure our threat response is effective, CIBER vigilantly works with you to maintain and improve policies and detection methods.
Security Log Management – Meeting industry mandates designed to curb identify theft, loss of privacy, and network downtime caused by security attacks, requires that multiple log files be collected, checked for anomalies, and archived. CIBER can help you implement a log collection strategy that includes real-time checks and automated reporting.
Content Security Management – Managing the complex world of anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-x, and Web control software is costly and time consuming. CIBER can help you implement systems that automate policy enforcement and enable employees to manage their own spam, while we make sure the latest updates and patches are applied.
Your Site or Ours
If you prefer an on-site solution, CIBER can help you implement, upgrade, maintain, and operate your Security or Network Operations Center. We make sure your staff is trained and accredited, uses the most effective response processes, and is equipped with the right tools to monitor and manage your network and IT security.
If a remote solution will meet your needs, we provide 24x7x365 access to a Network and Security Center at a fraction of the cost of creating your own. CIBER operates centers in Arizona, New York, New Jersey, and Texas. If an off-shore solution might be right, CIBER’s Bangladore, India site is available. These sites’ trained professionals will monitor, manage, and resolve network and security events using best-of-breed tools and processes.
For both on-site and remote solutions, we combine expertise, agency acumen, and state-of-the-art tools to identify and analyze network and security events. We recommend a course of action or carry out defensive measures according to your customized response criteria. We provide the metrics and reporting necessary to comply with all Federal regulations and to assure your executives, Congress, and the public that sensitive information is continually protected and that your infrastructure will be available to meet their needs – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with no exceptions.
Toolsets to Meet Every Need
CIBER’s subject matter experts have hands-on experience using a wide array of network tools including, among others: the full CA toolset; ARCServe and ARCSight; XOSoft; What’s Up Gold; the HP Suite; INBOQ Alarm Point; the Microsoft Suite of system management tools; the CISCO tool set; Lieberman User Manager Pro and Service Account Manager; Script Logic Desktop Authority; Heat; Solar Winds; and Alert Logic Security and Log Management. This broad array of tool set knowledge can be used to help you preserve your investment in the tools you use today, or to make recommendations for tools that will take you to the next level of network and security management.
The CIBER Difference
CIBER has extraordinary success because we treat our customers extraordinarily. 96 percent of our customers rate our services highly; 97 percent say they would recommend us to another agency or company. For these customers, it’s all about focus -- knowing that every event and outage will be treated with the importance it deserves. We use industry standards, ITIL-driven proven processes, and effective policies that provide repeatable, systematic approaches to each and every alert and alarm. The US Army, the City of New Orleans, and the Nashville Electric Service are among the enterprises using CIBER’s network and security operations services today.
