Alan J. (AJ) Briding CEM, PMP, CMQ/OE Certified Emergency Manager CIBER, Inc.

As a certified emergency planner at CIBER, Inc., AJ helps clients prepare for the unexpected. Most recently he served as CIBER's advisor on emergency operations for the City of New Orleans, assisting the City with strategic planning, organizational alignment, emergency communication, evacuation processing, and implementation of the National Incident Management System (NIMS).  Also for New Orleans, he built their NIMS concept of operations, designed their emergency operations center organizational structure, and wrote their emergency operations plan.

AJ just finished work on building a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for a midwestern state’s public employees retirement fund.

He has written several articles about emergency management for the International Association of Emergency Managers in their monthly publication, IAEM Bulletin:

Formerly, he was a homeland security analyst for the US Northern Command, and a winner of the 1998 President's Award for Quality Improvement.
