“UHS has all the complexities of a major university system and a large research institution. As we have endeavored to improve our processes and become more efficient through the deployment of PeopleSoft, CIBER has been there to help us. Our partnership with CIBER has provided UHS with the means to better service our students, faculty, staff, and administration.”
Craig Ness — Executive Director for Academic Budgets and Administration, University of Houston System
“With the upgrade to our Oracle PeopleSoft applications we are now running an up-to-date system that provides increased functionality. Our technical systems are even more efficient than before and we are very excited to be running all of our Oracle applications in the 9.0 versions. We are extremely satisfied with CIBER’s implementation and plan to work with CIBER on future upgrades.”
Mario Valente — Dean of Academic Information Services, MiraCosta College
“One of the long-term benefits of partnering with CIBER is the security of knowing the consultants focus on more than the implementation of the moment. They also look toward post-implementation with an eye to ensuring that local functional and technical staff is fully prepared to manage the project on their own. We’ve had excellent help and excellent results.”
Richard Huckaba — Associate Provost and Project Manager, UT Dallas
“CIBER, as a partner, understood UW's needs. We are encouraged by the results of this go-live and look forward to the full implementation of PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions.”
Ed Meachen — Associate Vice President, Learning & Information Technology, University of Wisconsin
“CIBER is a leader in implementing student administration systems. CIBER has led the successful implementation of our PeopleSoft Enterprise Contributor Relations System, which has served us well, and the full-fledged PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions system. CIBER is skilled at implementing robust solutions and scaling them to fit the unique needs of our smaller, specialized Bible college. They have truly been a collaborative partner on our implementation of PeopleSoft systems.”
Frank Leber — Vice President of Information Systems, Moody Bible Institute
“CIBER was instrumental in ensuring an efficient go live. We were able to reduce our go-live activities, including patching, from 6 days down to 48 continuous hours. Our multiple ‘test moves to production’ allowed us to evaluate each step and to streamline our processes.”
Lee Krichmar — Director of Information Technology, Cerritos College
“We chose CIBER over five other vendors because of CIBER’s reputation, experience in the higher education community, and hands-on approach. We were really looking for that kind of partnership for this significant project. This project also strengthens the relationship between APU community members and facilitates the management and sharing of information to serve our students with excellence.”
Don Davis — Chief Information Officer, Azusa Pacific University
“Lee County School District is trying to maintain customer responsiveness with our current computer system - a 30-year-old legacy system. In today's demanding environment, our system is challenged trying to help us meet our customers' expectations. Our vision for the district is to have world class schools; we are calling this the Navigator Project. So this new ERP system supports our District vision - it will provide world class business tools for world class schools.”
Lee Legutko — Chief Business Officer, Lee County Public Schools
“After reviewing and evaluating all bids we received for our project, we chose CIBER to assist in our HR system assessment because of their extensive experience with Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management projects.”
Tim Clement — Senior Human Resources Analyst, San Diego County Water Authority
“CIBER's proven implementation methodologies and outstanding reputation have created at BYU Hawaii a solid and reliable partnership. CIBER consultants have blended with our institutional culture and have created an implementation environment of trust and success. We are very happy with our CIBER relationship; they have really delivered.”
Jim Nilson — Chief Information Officer , BYU-Hawaii
“The CIBER team worked extremely well with our internal functional and technical team members. CIBER knew exactly what needed to be done and came in and accomplished it. The project was well-managed and organized. What is truly amazing is that they came in and figured out how to configure Absence Management with very little assistance from Oracle.”
Rhonda Ringer — Manager, Information Technology, Delaware Department of Transportation
“I had worked with CIBER on IT projects before when I was with the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. At AAU, CIBER helped us successfully implement Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management, PeopleSoft Financial Management, and PeopleSoft Enterprise Student Administration solutions, which are part of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions family. We were quite pleased with the results. CIBER is unique in that they are not tied to a specific vendor, and they have extensive higher education experience, so I knew they could deliver for us on our Oracle project here at UTPA.”
Bob Lim — Chief Information Officer, University of Texas – Pan American
“The combination of CIBER Canada’s strong technical credentials with PeopleSoft and their significant higher education expertise is rare, and something we value highly. The CIBER Canada team understood not just the technical aspects of the project, but the broader picture, helping us to streamline operations and reduce costs, eliminating the tedious manual tasks our staff dreaded. The team smoothly completed the project on time, helping us meet our goals.”
Shelagh Hohm — Director of Administrative Information Systems, University of Alberta
“CIBER was a proven and reliable partner on our implementation of PeopleSoft HR and Finance. There are many firms claiming to have Higher Education expertise, but experience has shown us that CIBER is a partner we can trust to deliver successful results. CIBER demonstrated their expertise, talent, and professionalism to us in previous projects, and we are confident they will do so again on the implementation of Campus Solutions.”
Steven Pace — Project Director, Northern Illinois University
“We needed a system that would enable us to attract, recruit and retain students, and monitor and record their progress. We required effective e-business systems for student interaction, student financials and the standard financial processes of a large and complex organization. The PeopleSoft applications from Oracle met our requirement. And with CIBER’s own implementation and integration methodology, we can bring the system live more quickly and easily.”
Jennifer Fry — Deputy Vice Chancellor for Services, University of Derby
“CIBER was the only consulting firm to meet our standards, with more than a decade of experience with PeopleSoft products and the only consulting partner to have successfully implemented PeopleSoft student systems in the UK.”
Rosemary Smith — System Project Manager, University of Manchester
“CIBER not only delivered quality results, but they were also committed to transferring that expertise to our users and preparing Cambridge to reap the strategic benefits of this project well into the 21st Century.”
Dennis Barrington-Light — Project Director for the Cambridge Student Information System, University of Cambridge

Roadmap to eApplications
With PeopleSoft eApplications, organizations can dramatically improve productivity while maximizing the strategic value of support functions such as human resources and finance. Applications such as eProfile and eTrain allow employees to securely view or make changes to their information from any location with a web browser without the need to go through HR or Accounting.
These results are not limited to human resources. They can be extended to any business function that requires interaction with internal or external customers. Forrester Research notes that a self-service approach can slash the cost of customer interactions from as much as $35 on the phone to $0.75 online—a potential savings of 98 percent on just one transaction. (CIO Insight, June 1, 2004)
However, to successfully implement these applications, organizations need to understand the challenges a self-service deployment may face within their organizational structure and culture. These challenges can include:
- Uncertainty: What eApplications should be rolled out and in what order?
- Diverse employee populations
- Providing access to all employees
- Employee PC and internet skills
- Impact to managers’ workload
- IT infrastructure and security
- Training concerns
So many questions can seem overwhelming. No wonder many organizations have chosen to postpone taking advantage of the Enterprise eApplications!
Roadmap to "eApps" Success
CIBER can help. Our highly skilled team can help you address the impact self-service can have on your organization. We collaborate with your team to develop an implementation plan that ensures careful communication and planning at each step. We can help you determine which self-service applications will deliver the greatest value for your organization with the least amount of risk and can help you achieve quick wins that will drive demand for additional self-service solutions.
The key to success for CIBER's Roadmap to eApplications program is helping your organization manage the change and stress that sometimes accompany self-service implementations. Moving from paper-based to web-based processes requires planning, training, communication and motivation to minimize resistance and help employees understand how the new way of doing business benefits them and the organization.
Our expertise includes:
- ePay, eBenefits and eEquity
- eDevelopment and ePerformance
- eProfile and eProfile Manager Desktop
- eRecruit and eRecruit Manager Desktop
- eCompensation and eCompensation Manager Desktop
- eSettlements
- eProcurement
- eSupplier Connection
- eBill Payment
CIBER's eApplications Approach
CIBER follows a simple yet highly effective five-step process that helps your organization drive maximum value from the eApplications with minimum risk. These steps include:
Leadership and Stakeholders Analysis: Our consultants begin by working with your organization's leadership and key stakeholders to ensure that your deployment of self-service is aligned with and supports your business strategy. This process uncovers key business drivers, cultural challenges, organizational readiness, communication goals and other important factors necessary to ensure our approach will match your organizations critical success factors.
Self-Service Strategy Workshop: CIBER works with key members of your team to review your organization's manager and employee self-service options. Our consultants will review your current business processes, recommend processes that are appropriate for manager and employee self-service in your organization and recommend most effective order to implement those processes. The results of the workshop will be documented.
Self-Service Fit/Gap Analysis: Self-service applications are unique because they are available from within or outside your organization. It is important to ensure that data is presented in a way that makes sense within the context of your organization's culture, policies and communication standards. CIBER will work with your team to define the proper look, feel and functionality of your eApplications, and will document our findings along with alternatives, recommendations and estimates of effort.
Technology Review and Assessment: CIBER assess your organization’s technical infrastructure and ability to support manager and employee self-service. This assessment includes review of your employee population, their available system access, unique network challenges and uncovers any skill requirements that may need to be incorporated into the overall training plans. We can also assist with the selection of third-party software and tools to address any remote and wireless access needs.
Planning the Self-Service Roll-out: With analysis and decision-making complete, CIBER will work with the appropriate team members to develop a plan to support each phase of your organization’s self-service implementation project. Our team will also develop a detailed plan to address development, testing, training and implementation. As part of the eApplication Roadmap we will help you plan the first pilot deployment, and guide your team through the steps required to develop your communication plan and employee support approach.
