Westinghouse implemented the Six Sigma methodology, which they branded as the Customer First Initiative. One requirement was to implement a tool that would enable Customer First team members to track all aspects of a Customer First project. A method was needed to track the project charter that contained project financial and non-financial benefit information. Collaboration tools to facilitate task and document management were also required.
