State of Indiana GMIS—CIBER helped the State of Indiana implement PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials to standardize the operations of its state agencies, including the Indiana Dept. of Administration and Indiana State Personnel Department. CIBER provided templates that allowed the state to roll PeopleSoft out to several of its smaller agencies without outside assistance, expanding and improving the State’s business processes, and reducing month-end close times from 45 days using manual processes, to just 5 with PeopleSoft.

City and County of San Francisco— CIBER worked with the City and County of San Francisco to implement PeopleSoft Human Resources and Benefits Administration to manage the City/County’s more than 70,000 employees and retirees. CIBER assisted in the development of interfaces to the City/County’s more than 6 payroll systems and 15 benefit providers.

Among the many benefits realized with this implementation of Benefits Administration is the ability of the city's Health Services department to accurately access, record, and track employees' and retirees' benefits, the payment of those benefits to the providers, and the processing of those payments in their accounting system.

MemorialCare—A five-hospital system located in Long Beach, California, MemorialCare worked with CIBER to perform one of the first implementations of PeopleSoft 8.0 Financials and Materials Management in a healthcare environment. With CIBER’s help, the hospital was able to deploy a unique solution to its inventory process, which allows inventory counts to be entered into a handheld PDA and “hot-synched” to PeopleSoft. Orders are automatically placed, purchase orders created, invoices produced and payments processed without any additional data entry.

The Children’s Hospital, Denver—CIBER assisted The Children’s Hospital with its implementation of PeopleSoft 8.3 Financials and Materials Management, and PeopleSoft HRMS 8.0. The hospital has been able to reduce procurement and materials management costs through integration with vendors and the automation of internal inventory controls, improve recruiting and retention processes, and is better able to comply with JCAHO standards for tracking exposure to hazardous agents and employee compliance with required immunizations.

University of New Orleans—UNO selected CIBER to assist in the implementation of its PeopleSoft HRMS, Financials and Student Administration system, which delivered, real-time financial information to the university’s academic and support unit business managers, in addition to web-based self-service for employees and students.

UNO students can now apply for admissions or financial aid, and accept or decline awards via the web. Employees can review and revise their own records and create purchase requisitions with electronic approval and workflow capability, all online.

Butler University—When Butler University opted to implement PeopleSoft’s Enterprise Portal application, it chose CIBER to help implement the solution. More than 500 members of Butler’s staff can now use the Portal to access and update Butler’s PeopleSoft applications, ensuring that the university’s information is always timely and accurate. Butler will begin making applications available to its 4,200 students in 2003.
