Mark Sanderson
CONSULTANT MANAGER
Mark Sanderson is a consultant manager and technical consultant for CIBER working in CIBER's Higher Education Practice while specializing in Oracle database management and PeopleSoft ERP systems. With nearly 25 years of experience working with computers and data processing, Mark has had the good fortune of first hand, witnessing the birth of the personal computer era while learning many of the challenging lessons during the continual rapid evolution of this industry. The first decade of his career was spent as a young aspiring staff programmer in the era before the widespread use of the internet when Microsoft Windows was still considered to be a novelty. The 1990's brought Mark into his mature years of working with data and computers when he realized that once the machine was mastered, the true challenge of enabling these machines for human use was the genuinely difficult aspect of this career. In 1998 Mark joined the traveling circuit and became a consultant to help the implementation process of PeopleSoft ERP Systems. Well over a decade later, Mark is in his prime still enjoying the job of helping others learn to use these complex systems to make their lives and businesses profitable and productive.

Back in the mid 1990's we had a classical two tier, fat client model that has indeed transformed it's self nicely into a state-of-the-art, web-based, industrial grade development platform that can be very effective at it's intended goals.
In spite of this steady progression towards a full featured, object oriented development platform, one of the significant challenges over the years has been learning how to best take advantage of this proprietary development environment...
